Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a compound from green tea (EGCG) could help improve thinking and learning skills in children with fetal alcohol syndrome. Researchers gave 36 children aged 7-14 a daily dose of the supplement for one year and measured changes in their cognitive abilities. The study aimed to see if this natural compound could help manage the brain effects of prenatal alcohol exposure.
