New dental implant method aims to skip bone grafting

NCT ID NCT07424742

Summary

This study is testing a less invasive dental implant technique for people who have lost back teeth in their upper jaw and have limited bone height. Instead of adding bone graft material, the procedure gently lifts the sinus membrane and places an implant, allowing the body's natural blood clot to form new bone underneath. Researchers will follow 20 patients to see how well new bone forms, how stable the implants are, and if the technique is safe and reliable over 6 months.
