Blood test could replace needle biopsy for kidney transplant patients

NCT ID NCT07060716

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study is testing a new blood test called GraftAssureDx to see if it can detect when a kidney transplant is being rejected. About 125 adults who have had a kidney transplant will give blood and urine samples. The goal is to see if this test is as good as or better than the standard biopsy (a needle sample of the kidney) at finding rejection, which could make monitoring safer and easier for patients.
