Mind over matter: can imagining movement ease shoulder pain after surgery?
NCT ID NCT07481864
Summary
This study is testing whether mental exercises called graded motor imagery can help people recover better after major shoulder surgery. Researchers will work with 38 adults who have had surgery to repair large rotator cuff tears. They want to see if imagining shoulder movements and using other mental techniques can reduce pain and improve function during the early recovery period when physical therapy is limited.
