New drug aims to flush out toxic cadmium from the body

Summary
This study tests an investigational drug called GMDTC to see if it can safely help people with high cadmium levels remove more of this heavy metal through urine. About 11 adults aged 18 to 70 with elevated cadmium will receive either GMDTC or a placebo. The main goal is to measure changes in urinary cadmium and monitor for side effects.
