Summary

This study tested a drug called GM-CSF in children with sepsis who had a weakened immune system (immunoparalysis) and multiple organ failure. The goal was to see if the drug could restore their immune function. The study included 75 children and compared two ways of giving the drug (by vein or under the skin).
