First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether a drug called GM-CSF can improve symptoms and blood flow in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD), a condition where leg arteries narrow, causing pain and limiting walking. 151 adults with stable PAD received either GM-CSF or a placebo in two 3-week treatment cycles. The main goal was to see if the drug helped them walk farther in 6 minutes.
