NCT ID NCT06959251

First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether daily supplements of glycine (an amino acid) and magnesium plus thiamine (vitamin B1) can reduce lung infections and improve breathing and quality of life in people with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), a rare condition that makes it hard to clear mucus from the airways. About 60 participants aged 5 and older will take one of three supplement combinations or a placebo for 6 months. The goal is to see if these supplements, which are already safe for general use, can offer a new way to manage PCD symptoms.
