Can a simple sensor replace the standard diabetes test in pregnancy?

NCT ID NCT05981547

First seen Dec 24, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a continuous glucose monitor (a small sensor) can better detect high blood sugar in pregnant women than the standard oral glucose test. Researchers will compare glucose patterns in 400 women at high risk for gestational diabetes, some diagnosed and some not. The goal is to see if the sensor could be a more reliable way to diagnose the condition.
