Tiny test: can new tech track sugar in fragile babies?

NCT ID NCT06363929

Summary

This study aimed to check if a wearable glucose monitor (Dexcom G6) works accurately for newborns with hyperinsulinism, a rare condition causing dangerously low blood sugar. It involved placing the monitor on babies in the NICU for 10 days and comparing its readings to standard blood sugar checks. The goal was to see if this device could help monitor these fragile infants more easily.
