Scientists test hormone doses to solve dangerous Post-Surgery blood sugar crashes

NCT ID NCT06986603

Summary

This study aims to understand how the hormone glucagon affects blood sugar levels in people who experience dangerous low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) after weight-loss surgery. Researchers will give small, increasing or decreasing doses of glucagon to 28 participants while closely monitoring their blood sugar and other hormones. The goal is to gather detailed information about how the body responds, which could help guide future treatments for this condition.
