NCT ID NCT05305794

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests if a weekly injection of semaglutide (a GLP1 drug used for type 2 diabetes) can help people with 'double diabetes' — a mix of type 1 diabetes and inherited insulin resistance. About 76 adults with type 1 diabetes, a BMI of 27 or higher, and a family history of type 2 diabetes will receive either semaglutide or standard care. The goal is to see if the drug increases the time their blood sugar stays in a healthy range.
