Summary

This study tests whether a GLP-1 drug (semaglutide) can improve intestinal barrier function in people with short bowel syndrome and intestinal failure. Twenty adults will receive either the drug or a placebo for 28 days, alongside standard care. Researchers will measure blood markers of gut health and nutrient absorption.
