Worldwide safety check: how hospitals use breathing masks outside critical care

NCT ID NCT07157215

Summary

This study is a global survey asking doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists about their experiences using non-invasive ventilation (NIV) - a mask-based breathing support system - outside intensive care units. Researchers want to understand current practices, identify safety challenges, and learn what conditions are treated with NIV in regular hospital wards and emergency rooms. The goal is to gather information that could help standardize and improve the safe use of this breathing support technology across different healthcare settings.
