New device aims to lower eye pressure in glaucoma patients during cataract surgery

Summary

This study tests a new surgical tool for people with open-angle glaucoma who are also having cataract surgery. The device is designed to improve fluid drainage in the eye to lower pressure. Researchers will check if the procedure is safe and effective at reducing the need for glaucoma medications. About 70 adults will take part in this first-in-human trial.
