Which glaucoma surgery is safer? new study analyzes vision loss risks
NCT ID NCT07237555
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at 523 people with severe glaucoma who had one of two types of eye surgery. The goal was to see which surgery had a higher risk of causing central vision loss shortly after the operation. Researchers found that the main factor affecting vision was how stable the eye pressure was right after surgery, not which surgery was chosen.
