New device tested to fight glaucoma during cataract surgery

Summary
This is the first human trial to test the safety and effectiveness of a new surgical device for people with open-angle glaucoma who are also having cataract surgery. The device aims to improve fluid drainage in the eye to lower internal eye pressure. The study will enroll 70 participants to see if the device can reduce eye pressure and the need for glaucoma medications.
