Tiny implants offer new hope for glaucoma patients facing major surgery

NCT ID NCT07228221

Summary

This study is testing whether two small devices implanted in the eye can safely lower eye pressure in people with moderate-to-severe glaucoma that isn't controlled by eye drops. The devices (iStent infinite and iDose TR) are designed to be a less invasive alternative to traditional glaucoma surgery. Researchers will measure how much they reduce eye pressure and the need for daily medications over 12 months.
