New glasses aim to halt Kids' worsening eyesight

NCT ID NCT06577948

Summary

This study is testing whether a new type of spectacle lens, called P.A.U.S.E.®, can slow down how quickly nearsightedness gets worse in children. Researchers are comparing these special lenses to regular single-vision glasses in 205 Vietnamese children aged 6 to 14 over two years. The goal is to see if the new lenses can reduce the rate at which the eye grows longer, which is the main cause of worsening nearsightedness.
