Special glasses aim to halt rapidly worsening vision in kids

NCT ID NCT05888792

Summary

This study is testing a new type of spectacle lens designed to slow down the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in children whose vision is getting worse quickly. About 118 children will be randomly assigned to wear either standard glasses or the new special lenses. Researchers will track changes in their vision and eye length over four years to see if the new lenses are more effective.
