Special glasses trial aims to halt worsening eyesight in adults
NCT ID NCT06520124
Summary
This study is testing whether special spectacle lenses, already used for children, can help slow down the progression of nearsightedness in adults aged 18 to 40. Each participant will wear the test lens in one eye and a standard lens in the other for a year, then swap, to directly compare the effects. The goal is to see if these lenses can reduce the long-term risks associated with worsening nearsightedness.
