Scientists scan guts to unlock diabetes mystery

NCT ID NCT06426823

Summary

This small study aimed to understand how a natural gut hormone called GIP affects blood flow in the abdomen after people with type 2 diabetes eat a meal. Ten participants underwent MRI scans while receiving either the hormone or a placebo, and then drinking a glucose solution. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about the body's internal processes, not to test a new treatment.
