Ancient herb tested as memory booster for stroke survivors
NCT ID NCT07220538
Summary
This study is testing whether adding ginkgo biloba leaf extract tablets to standard post-stroke care helps improve thinking and memory in people aged 55 and older who have had a mild ischemic stroke. Researchers will compare 400 participants who take the ginkgo tablets for a year alongside their usual treatment to those who receive only the usual treatment. The main goal is to see if the herbal supplement safely helps with cognitive problems that can follow a stroke.
