First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested whether using a power toothbrush and mouth rinse twice daily for six weeks reduces gum bleeding and inflammation better than a manual toothbrush alone. Sixty-nine adults with gingivitis were randomly assigned to either the power brush plus rinse group or the manual brush group. Researchers measured gum health at the start and after 1, 3, and 6 weeks.
