Summary
This study tested a drug called gilteritinib combined with standard chemotherapy in children and young adults with a specific, hard-to-treat form of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that had come back or not responded to prior treatment. The goal was to find a safe and effective dose and see if the combination could put the cancer into remission. Participants could continue taking gilteritinib for up to two years after the initial treatment cycles.
