Doctors track hidden heart dangers in common inflammatory disease
NCT ID NCT07084480
Summary
This study aims to better understand the long-term risks for people with giant cell arteritis and polymyalgia rheumatica, particularly focusing on heart complications and side effects from steroid medications. Researchers will follow 400 adult patients for 5-10 years, using imaging scans and blood tests to identify which patients are most at risk. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help doctors personalize treatment plans in the future.
