First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a natural supplement called geranylgeraniol (from annatto seeds) can reduce muscle pain, weakness, and cramps caused by cholesterol-lowering statins. About 95 adults aged 40 and older who have muscle symptoms from statins will take the supplement for 3 months. Researchers will measure pain levels and muscle strength to see if the supplement helps.
