Could a chewable tablet replace the awful sugar drink for pregnancy diabetes tests?
NCT ID NCT05115188
Summary
This study tested if chewable Dex4 tablets work as well as the standard sugary drink for diagnosing gestational diabetes. Pregnant women who had an initial positive screening test tried both methods to see which was more accurate and caused fewer side effects like nausea. The goal is to find a more comfortable and reliable test for expectant mothers.
