Could a skin sensor replace the diabetes test for pregnant women?

NCT ID NCT05981547

Summary

This study aims to see if continuous glucose monitors (small sensors worn on the skin) can provide better information for diagnosing gestational diabetes than the current standard blood test. Researchers will compare glucose data from 400 pregnant women at high risk for the condition, some who test positive and some who test negative on the standard test. The goal is to understand if the current test might miss some cases or incorrectly diagnose others.
