First seen May 05, 2026 ยท Last updated May 05, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether having a special team of geriatric experts (doctors, nurses, therapists) available right away in the emergency department helps older patients. The team aimed to reduce time spent in the ER, lower hospital admission rates, and shorten hospital stays. Over 1,000 patients aged 65 and older were observed to see if this approach improves care efficiency.
