Scientists test if food changes how your body handles a new heartburn drug

NCT ID NCT07364838

Summary

This early-stage study tested how eating food affects the way a new medication for acid reflux (GERD) is absorbed and processed by the body. It involved 24 healthy adult volunteers who took the drug, called DW4421, with and without food. The main goal was to measure the drug's levels in the blood and check for safety to help plan future studies.
