Your phone vs. heartburn: app trial aims to boost treatment success
NCT ID NCT07125521
Summary
This study is testing whether a smartphone app called GERDCare can help people with chronic acid reflux (GERD) follow their treatment plans better. About 380 adults with GERD will use the app, which provides medication reminders, tracks symptoms, and offers educational tips, alongside their usual care. Researchers will check after 4 weeks to see if using the app leads to better medication adherence and improved symptoms compared to standard treatment alone.
