Scientists hunt genetic clues to rare immune disorder
NCT ID NCT00055172
Summary
This study aims to discover the genetic causes of severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), a rare condition where the immune system doesn't work properly. Researchers will analyze blood samples from 100 participants, including patients with SCID and their relatives, to identify specific gene mutations. The findings may help improve understanding of how these immune disorders develop, but this is a research study, not a treatment trial.
