Searching for the genetic warning sign of a deadly cancer drug side effect
NCT ID NCT06734689
Summary
This study aims to discover genetic markers that could predict which cancer patients are at risk of developing severe heart inflammation (myocarditis) from immunotherapy drugs. Researchers will compare the DNA of 500 cancer patients, looking for differences between those who develop this dangerous side effect and those who do not. The goal is to create a genetic test that could one day help doctors identify high-risk patients before starting treatment.
