Scientists test new way to spot hidden cancer risk in your genes
NCT ID NCT03426878
Summary
This study tested a program to offer detailed genetic testing (exome sequencing) to adults at higher risk for inherited cancers. Researchers worked with nearly 1,000 diverse participants to see if this testing helps people understand their risk and get the right follow-up care. They also tested new ways to explain complex genetic results clearly, especially for people with different language or health literacy levels.
