Heart study seeks hidden danger in genetic AF patients

NCT ID NCT06575881

Summary

This study aims to learn if people with genetic forms of early-onset atrial fibrillation (AF) have a hidden, higher risk of developing dangerous, fast heart rhythms from their lower heart chambers (ventricular tachycardia). Researchers will observe 200 participants who are already scheduled for a heart procedure. They will use special heart scans and electrical mapping during the procedure to look for hidden scar tissue that might predict this risk.
