St. jude hunts for genetic clues to safer, more effective Kids' treatments
NCT ID NCT00730678
Summary
This study aims to understand how a child's unique genetic makeup influences how their body processes and responds to medications, especially those used to treat cancer and other catastrophic illnesses. Researchers at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will collect genetic information from thousands of patients, their family members, and volunteers. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help doctors personalize treatments to be more effective and cause fewer side effects.
