Scientists hunt genetic clue to high blood pressure in caribbean community

NCT ID NCT07330804

Summary

This study aims to understand if a specific genetic variation in the Corin gene makes people of African descent in Guadeloupe more likely to develop high blood pressure. Researchers will compare 370 adults with and without high blood pressure to see if those with the gene variant have a higher risk. The goal is to gather knowledge about the genetic causes of this health disparity, not to test a new treatment.
