Could your genes be why your dental numbing fails?
NCT ID NCT07012382
Summary
This study aimed to understand why a common dental numbing injection sometimes fails, especially during painful root canals. Researchers checked if a specific gene variant is linked to this failure by comparing DNA from 200 patients who either had successful or unsuccessful numbing. The goal was to gather knowledge that might one day help dentists personalize pain management.
