Scientists hunt for genetic clues to personalize Crohn's treatment

NCT ID NCT07263464

Summary

This study aimed to understand if a specific gene variation (TNFSF4) is linked to a person's risk of developing Crohn's disease. Researchers also wanted to see if this gene variation affects how well the medication ustekinumab works for patients. They compared blood samples from 296 people with Crohn's disease to 532 healthy individuals to look for these connections.
