Skin deep: study reveals how fillers change your genes
NCT ID NCT05620043
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at how two different dermal fillers—a biostimulator and a semi-permanent filler—affect gene activity in the skin. Twenty-one adults with shallow smile lines received both fillers, and small skin samples were taken 12 weeks later. Researchers measured changes in genes related to collagen, elastin, and skin health to understand how each filler works at a molecular level.
