New drug trial aims to tame deadly lung condition

Summary

This study tests a new medicine called GEn-1124 in 52 adults with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a severe lung injury that makes breathing very difficult. Participants receive the drug through an IV twice daily for 5 days, starting as soon as possible after diagnosis. The main goal is to check if the drug is safe and tolerable.
