New combo shows promise for tough pancreatic cancer

Summary
This study tested whether a combination of two chemotherapy drugs (gemcitabine and paclitaxel) helps people with advanced pancreatic cancer live longer compared to gemcitabine alone. The 211 participants had already tried and failed or couldn't tolerate the standard first treatment (FOLFIRINOX). The goal was to see if the combo improves overall survival.
