New gel aims to stop dangerous bleeding after gut surgery
NCT ID NCT05746884
Summary
This study is testing if applying a special gel during surgery to remove tumors from the first part of the small intestine (duodenum) can prevent serious bleeding afterward. Researchers will compare the gel to standard care in about 234 patients. The goal is to see if the gel reduces the need for blood transfusions, hospital stays, or repeat procedures.
