Scientists track moms for clues to diabetes risk

NCT ID NCT03050645

Summary

This study aimed to understand why some women develop type 2 diabetes years after having diabetes during pregnancy (gestational diabetes). Researchers followed 210 women for about 8 years, comparing those who had gestational diabetes to a similar group who did not. They collected health data and lifestyle information to identify early warning signs and risk factors for future diabetes.
