Scientists track how long strep vaccine protection lasts
NCT ID NCT06280157
Summary
This study aimed to see how long the immune protection from a Group B Streptococcus (GBS) vaccine lasts in women who received it in earlier trials. Researchers invited 29 women who had previously received 1 to 3 doses of the GBS-NN/NN2 vaccine to return for yearly blood draws over several years. The goal was to measure antibody levels in their blood to understand the vaccine's long-term effectiveness.
