First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether an oral chemotherapy drug (paclitaxel) plus a targeted therapy (fruquintinib) can help adults with advanced stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer that has worsened after first-line treatment. About 150 participants will be randomly assigned to receive the new combination or the doctor's choice of standard treatment. The main goal is to see if the combination delays cancer growth or improves survival.
