New stomach cancer test aims to predict disease spread before surgery
NCT ID NCT06339307
Summary
This study tested a new scoring model designed to predict whether a patient's stomach cancer has spread to their lymph nodes before they have surgery. Doctors followed 120 patients who had surgery for stomach cancer to see if the model's predictions matched what was found during their operation. The goal is to create a better tool to help plan the most appropriate treatment for each patient.
