Doctors test new tool to predict cancer spread after surgery

NCT ID NCT06023966

Summary

This study tested a tool designed to predict which stomach cancer patients are at higher risk of the cancer spreading to their liver after surgery. Researchers followed 120 patients who had their stomach tumor removed to see if the tool's predictions matched what actually happened. The goal was to see if this scoring model could help doctors better monitor patients after surgery.
