Surgical stitch vs. clip: which better stops bleeding in gastric bypass?
NCT ID NCT07238309
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to prevent bleeding after a specific type of weight loss surgery called laparoscopic one anastomosis gastric bypass (OAGB). Researchers will compare two common techniques surgeons use to reinforce the staple line in the stomach: oversewing (stitching) and using surgical clips. The goal is to see which method is more effective at reducing serious bleeding after surgery, while also looking at surgery time and costs.
